2025

We have placed particular emphasis on quick installation and the absence of muntin bars in product development. Optional sash bar-free hinged frames for swing doors and pre-assembled PL3 pleated blinds reflect this trend.

With fresh images and videos in a modern corporate design, Neher is starting the insect screens season 2025. The new homepage will follow in fall 2025, always true to the motto: “If you don’t move with the times, you move with the times.” We will continue to step on the gas to remain contemporary and marketable.

2024

With the new family brand LIV by Neher, we are expanding our range and addressing new target groups. You can find out more about the product and the sustainable concept behind it at livbyneher.de.

The new Neometer from Neher not only helps to make the measurement of insect screens and other building elements faster, safer and more digital. It was also awarded the Innovation Prize at R+T 2024.

The Neher insect screen system also received the Plus X Award for highest customer satisfaction in 2024 – two successes that we are a little proud of.

2023

Half a century of Neher company history. As a family business with many long-standing customers, employees, suppliers and partners, we would like to celebrate this event in style after the insect screens season. Until then, we will all continue to do our best to protect people and insects. We are grateful and proud of the development of the last decades and want to continue this.

After a 4-year break due to the coronavirus, the time has come again: we are taking part in a trade fair. We hope to meet many customers and interested parties at BAU 23 in Munich in April and inform them about our new products in person.

Now that our new logistics center is up and running, the final outdoor work is on the agenda. The insect protection meadow is being extended and reseeded. So that many insects can once again find a habitat with food and protection. We will keep you up to date on www.insektenschutzwiese.de as well as Instagram and Facebook.

2022

Zeit Verlag regularly publishes the book “Brands of the Century” together with Dr. Florian Langenscheidt. This year, Neher – the insect screens – was once again voted into the exclusive circle of these German brands, which we are very proud of. Neher also has numerous system enhancements and improvements in store for 2022.

The construction of our new logistics center is progressing according to plan so that it can be put into operation at the end of 2022. All those involved in the construction are doing their best to ensure that this goal is achieved even in these turbulent and difficult times.

In order to be able to start a new “construction project” in 2022 (after all, we have a reputation to lose…), we have decided to redesign the inner courtyard of our training center. The aim is to create a natural, insect-friendly area in which our visitors and employees will also feel comfortable.

2021

The almost invisible Transpatec mesh with the new anti-soiling coating was awarded the gold innovation prize at the R+T 2021 trade fair. The same goes for the narrow PL2 pleated blind with the patent-pending mesh holder. We are very proud to have received these prestigious awards from one of the world’s leading trade fairs once again after 1997 and 2011.

Now that we have a whole two years behind us without an extension, we are really hitting our stride: the construction of our new logistics center is by far the largest investment in the company’s history. By the end of 2022, a modern logistics center including a fully automated high-bay warehouse with a connection to the existing company building will be built on 11,000 square meters. This will enable us to prepare for increasing requirements and future growth so that we can continue to deliver quickly and reliably.

2020

The almost invisible Transpatec mesh now also has an anti-soiling coating. It was honored with the Plus X Award as “Product of the Year 2020”. You can find more information about the product and the new, award-winning film at www.neher.de/insektenschutz/transpatec/

The developers at Neher have once again come up with some great ideas for 2020: A significantly improved pleated blind PL2, new stentering frame variants, extra-flat thresholds for swing doors and sliding systems, coated stainless steel mesh for light well covers and much more. Your Neher partner will be happy to show you the products that are of interest to you.

2019

Because we take responsibility for our world, we have created an insect protection meadow of almost 5,000 square meters in front of our company building. You can find more information about the concept and the ideas behind it here: www.neher.de/ueber-neher/.

Matthias Geist has been with Neher since 2004. For several years, he headed the Sales and Marketing department as an authorized signatory. Since 01.01.2019, he has formed the management team at Neher Systeme together with Norbert Neher.

2018

Good things come to those who wait: the extension to the administration and workshop has finally been completed. The new offices and the additional space for the workshop and warehouse have been occupied and are already being put to good use.

The new PL2 pleated blind was presented to the public at the two leading trade fairs R&T and Fensterbau Frontale. It impresses with some clever detailed solutions and an installation depth of just 22 mm.

2017

As expected, the new construction of the administration building and workshop, which began at the end of last year, will occupy us for the entire of 2017. The new offices and the additional space for workshop and storage are urgently needed thanks to our constant growth.

On 01/04/2017, the new Neher App 2.0 replaced the Neher App, which has proven itself a thousand times over. It is available on the Neher Homepage under Neher App 2.0 and in the different Appstores. After activation, the entire catalogues, videos, pictures and the new variant finder are available to the Neher specialist dealer. Together with our software partner, Gandalan, we have completely revised Bestellfix (order fix) and integrated it into the Neher App 2.0. The digital future is already here – we at Neher are helping to shape it.

2016

We are proud to have once again been included in the well-known “Brands of the Century – Stars 2016” compendium in 2016. It includes 250 major German brands that are synonymous with their product category. Like Steiff – the teddy bear, Tempo – the handkerchief and Neher – the insect screens. After continuous growth in 2015, this year is also off to a successful start for the Neher system. A new fibre glass mesh and a modern additional standard color for light well covers round off the product range.

What would a year without construction be like for Neher? Somehow unusual. And that’s why we have started to expand our office and production capacities for the future. The extension is one of the largest and most complex since the company was built in 1996 and will keep us busy in the coming year.

2015

Following the extremely successful introduction of the Neher app and other logistics software solutions in 2014, we are now working on connecting these more and more with each other and with the individual processes along the process chain. You may not see this directly, but you will notice it when the right product is installed quickly and without errors during the season.

The new ST4 sliding system series and the new ER1 and ER2 electric roller blinds, which can also be built particularly large, are becoming increasingly popular on the market. There are exciting projects with these products, particularly internationally.

It is slowly becoming a running joke, but Neher is already expanding again. This year, our climate-controlled warehouse in particular is being expanded to keep pace with our steady growth. Some products will be stored at a constant temperature in order to guarantee you a consistently high quality of our insect screens.

2014

At Neher, we want our customers to be happy with our products. Regardless of whether you are a producer, specialist dealer or private customer, we want you to be comprehensively and competently informed. To this end, we have now developed the free and platform-independent Neher app, with which all Neher specialist dealers have all the latest important information at their fingertips. Following the trend towards ever larger windows and doors, Neher has developed new insect screens for precisely these installation cases. These are the ST4 sliding system series on the one hand and the new ER1 and ER2 electric roller blinds on the other.

We are pleased that we are still growing, even if this makes it necessary to further expand our high-bay central warehouse by 50%. Because we want to be able to continue to supply you with the products you require quickly and reliably.

2013

After Neher received several important prizes and awards in 2012, this continues in 2013.

The almost invisible Transpatec mesh has already received the following awards:

  • The Innovation Award 2012 from the State of Baden-Württemberg, Dr.-Rudolf-Eberle-Prize
  • The Innovation Award 2012 from R&T, the world’s leading trade fair for roller screens, doors/gates and sun protection, in the “Technical Textiles” categories
  • The red dot design award 2011
  • The iFdesign award 2012

Neher is one of the strongest brands in Germany. This is documented by the decision of a high-ranking advisory board to include the Neher insect screens brand in the well-known “Brands of the Century – Lighthouses on the Sea of Brands” compendium and to award it the “German Standards Brand Award”.

Following the numerous technical product innovations in 2012, Neher is concentrating more on internal process optimization this year. The focus is on even smoother, safer and faster order processing (from measurement to data input, material ordering, production, delivery and installation).

2012

The new brand image makes Neher even more modern, fresh and easy to understand. Not only the images, but all advertising materials from the flyer to this website have been completely revised.

Neher was not only active in marketing, but also in technology, with many product improvements. This ranges from the sliding system to the roller screen to the stentering frame. Your Neher specialist partner will be happy to show you the individual products and improvements.

The newly built research and development building can be seen as proof that Neher wants to keep moving forward in the future. The software programmers of Neher’s IT partner Gandalan also have a new, prestigious home here.

2011

The almost invisible Transpatec mesh has caused quite a stir since its market launch in 2010. Neher is now continuing this success story. Following minor technical changes to the system, the mesh can now also be used in roller screens.

The new grip frame, which can be operated from both sides, can be used on all revolving and swing doors and thus creates completely new, even more convenient operating options, even in tight installation situations.

The extension of the accessible pleated blinds to 1.70 meters single-leaf width enables completely new applications. Always the right solution – Neher meets this requirement with new variations based on the tried and tested system.

2010

Yes – nobody thought the outstanding properties of Transpatec were possible. With Transpatec insect screens, we have taken insect screens for windows and doors to a new dimension.

In 2010, our new high-bay warehouse was completed and the dispatch logistics switched from analogue to digital. An automatic bar storage system as well as a reorganisation of our manual warehouse were established.

A part of the warehouse was housed for a short time in tents in order to allow the reconstruction work to take place inside the permanent warehouses. The change in logistics is enormous. From paper and ballpoint pens to mobile barcode scanners. A brilliant achievement by our employees in mastering this innovation during ongoing operations.

2009

The technical highlight for 2009 is the completely newly developed sliding system. This creates possibilities that were previously unknown with insect screens.
Sash heights of up to 3 meters without sash bars are possible without any problems thanks to the particularly stable profile. The new roller is height-adjustable, is automatically centered above the guide rail and is guided securely. With the help of the optional foot control, the door can be operated safely and conveniently with the foot, even if no hand is free.

The new, additional standard color dark grey with mica effect of our light well covers is slip-resistant and impresses with its high scratch resistance and low susceptibility to soiling.

2008

The mesh is the soul of insect screens (insect screens). For 2008, Neher has paid particular attention to the development of two new products that set completely new standards: the Polltec pollen protection fabric and the almost invisible transparency fabric. The enthusiastic reactions at the presentation at Fensterbau Frontale 2008 in Nuremberg confirmed this.

The new Polltec pollen screen reliably keeps out over 99 percent of grass and birch pollen, even the particularly fine pollen from ragweed or nettles remains outside by over 90 percent. The air permeability is improved by up to 300 percent compared to other pollen protection fabrics.

A newly developed mesh concept also allows improved visibility through the fine mesh, which holds the particles not only mechanically but also by attraction. All in all, this insect screen fabric represents a revolution in terms of protective function, light and air permeability and durability on the pollen screen market.

The reactions to the new and almost invisible transparent fabric (today: no longer included in the product range as it has been replaced by the even better (and cheaper) Transpatec insect screen fabric ) were just as positive. This impresses with an almost unobstructed view and greatly improved air permeability.

2007

Visitors at the Innovation Days were more than enthusiastic about the new products and detailed improvements from Neher’s design engineers and marketing experts.

The unanimous tenor: “When can we produce?”

The wait has been worthwhile, the designers have eliminated the weaknesses of the conventional construction principles of a swing door with the new construction. 120 degree opening angle, narrow and stable construction, ingenious production processes.

TERRESA, the new wooden decking insert, is the first Neher product without insect screens. TERRESA was developed from the proven materials of the cellar shaft solutions. Architects, garden planners and wooden decking manufacturers at BAU 2007 were delighted. “A real innovation – we’ve always been looking for that”. With TERRESA, Neher quality is now also available for wooden decking.

2006

Simple, slim and affordable – these are the striking features of the new R5 insect screens.

The further development of the Neher cross roller blind allows for improved operability and even faster, simpler and more flexible installation.

Can Neher improve the stentering frame at all? Yes. Easier operation, simplified measurement, easy installation – that’s the new SP1/70 stentering frame with clamping screw installation.

2005

It’s already almost routine. By expanding the storage capacity with a new high-bay warehouse, it was again possible to improve the complete warehouse logistics.

Two new product innovations were added to the light well cover product line. ELSA and RESi were launched in record time.

Together with our partner company, Gandalan, Neher presents the first Bestellfix (order fix). With the help of this free software, Neher dealers can quickly, securely and easily create offers and manage orders. A milestone in company development and a further step towards a digital process chain.

2004

The developers in Frittlingen have outdone themselves with their inventive spirit and were able to inspire Neher’s manufacturing partners. The new insect screens and technical improvements bring significantly more benefits for the customer. Even more convenience and comfort with the Neher system – Germany’s great brand.

2003

The hinged frames for doors and roller screen systems are completely revised. The stentering frame is a new product specially designed for the new generation of windows. Neher achieves record growth primarily through increased activities abroad.

New training centre built in Frittlingen

2002

The Neher Group thus also covers the field of integrated original equipment in the new construction sector.

We are putting the training centre, which was previously integrated into the company building, on a new footing. In June 2002 we start the construction of an independent exhibition and training centre in Frittlingen.

Further innovations, more growth and the market launch of e-smog insect screens are planned.

2001

Inventions and introduction of a new advertising concept. Print advertising will be fundamentally redesigned. A revised company logo and new brochures are very well received by specialist dealers.

The new insect screens solution for windows and doors offers almost complete protection against electrosmog. Neher Systeme becomes a solution provider for completely new target groups.

Neher Systeme wins renowned solution providers for a supplier community on the without-elektrosmog-wohnen.de platform. Well-known companies in the building materials industry such as Knauf, sto, Bauder, Roto, Gealan, as well as medium-sized specialist companies in the field of building biology and internationally recognised radiation protection experts joined the Neher Systeme initiative in 2001.

The precision machines for the production of insect screens have been significantly enhanced. Thanks to the modular design of the machine concept, production output can now be adapted even more effectively to requirements.

Multiraum GmbH, which has been independent for a year, exceeds the planned turnover.

2000

The foundation of Multiraum GmbH and the relocation to a new company building is the result of the successful revision of the Multiraum product line, which has been extremely well received by the market.

LiSA – light well covers from Neher are presented and introduced to the market with great success at the dealer conference in Erfurt.

The latest logistics software package was presented at the dealer conference in Erfurt. With this software package, specialist dealers and production companies can significantly improve ordering and planning processes.

1999 to 1996

The insect screens product groups hinged frames for windows and hinged frames for doors as well as sliding systems are completely revised and launched on the market. In the area of sliding glazing for balconies and patios, a completely new sales concept is introduced with the Multiraum.

Expansion of the company complex to include a further high-bay warehouse. First contacts in the Asian and African markets. Introduction of the so-called “spring-loaded angle bracket” for damage-free attachment of insect screens to aluminum windows.

Neher Systeme develops a revolutionary insect screens that has won several awards. This leads to successful entry into the American and Canadian markets.

The previous location in Jäuchstraße is abandoned. Norbert Neher, now the sole chief executive officer, has a modern building complex with a high-bay warehouse built on a specially created industrial estate in Frittlingen. The sliding glazing product range for balconies and patios is completely overhauled and expanded into a second mainstay alongside insect screens.

1994 to 1973

Establishment of a branch in Moscow for the markets in Russia and the Baltic states. First contacts to America are established. A logistics center is founded.

Closer networking of the European distribution network.

Introducing the first insect screens that can be hung on windows without damaging them.

In the course of reunification, the development of the East German market begins, combined with a specially developed construction guideline program for smaller companies.

Licensed partner companies are founded in Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Neher Systeme systematically opens up the Western European market. Sliding glazings for balconies and patios are developed, the company building is extended.
